Are you an artist, entrepreneur, creator or innovator? Have an idea that’s keeping you up at night? One Spark is the perfect place to pitch your idea and showcase it to numerous people, make lasting connections and raise awareness to make your dream a reality April 7-12. One Spark is the world’s largest crowdfunding festival. It’s an annual event centered around creators – people with a dream that want to turn it into a reality. One Spark provides these creators a chance to connect with people in the community, receive crowdfunds, gain critical feedback and collect the resources they need to bring their projects to life. One Spark is an annual celebration of creativity and entrepreneurship. To become involved creators may register at Register your project for One Spark 2015 and start creating the world you want to live in. Creator registration closes on Feb. 25, and it’s a discounted rate of $25 for student creators with valid .edu email addresses. Venture partners pledged $3.5 million in potential investments for this year’s One Spark. Take home a piece of this pie for your art, startup, idea, band or small business. One Spark is currently looking for talented individuals to volunteer during the event. Sign up to be a One Spark Volunteer here. To vote for creators at One Spark, users can help decide which creator projects receive funding. One Spark attendance is free, and to vote simply download the One Spark app and create an account. One Spark is a fast-paced and innovative environment full of creative energy. Thousands of diverse attendees come together, from all over the city and the world, to support creators and experience the incredible environment of the festival spanning 20 square blocks of downtown Jacksonville. Creator categories include art, education, health & science, music, social good and technology. There’s something for everyone. Creator projects will be showcased during the five days of One Spark to connect with supporters and find funding, largely via attendee votes and contributions. The festivities do not stop there – One Spark has a variety of entertainment for everyone, from food trucks, nightly concerts, after dark parties, beer villages to the first-ever One Spark 5K race this year. One Spark also hosts a Speaker Summit each year. This year, Daymond John from the hit ABC show Shark Tank will be the headlining speaker.
