FSCJ Hosts Panel Discussion in Recognition of Stalking Awareness Month
WHAT: All students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend Florida State College at Jacksonville’s (FSCJ) Stalking Awareness Discussion Panel as part of National Stalking Awareness Month.
The open forum will feature Linda Wilson, psychotherapist, instructor and mental health presenter from FSCJ’s Student Assistance Program;
Jennifer Rodriguez, director of sexual assault services at Quigley House;
Roisin Kanupp, lead court victim advocate at Hubbard House; and
Robin Graber, RRT assistant director & volunteer coordinator at the Women’s Center of Jacksonville.
Speakers will discuss the court system as well as Clay and Duval County’s stalking statistics. It is also an opportunity for students to learn more about the College’s Student Assistance Program.
Topics of discussion will include how to identify signs of stalking, what to do about being stalked, this crime’s impact on victims and the laws protecting against it.
