Humans of FSCJ – March 6, 2016

HoFSCJ5“I see myself as a representation of my faith. Obviously, because I wear a hijab. When I go out, I know the first thing people will think when they see me is ‘Muslim’. The second thing they’ll do when they see me, is think about how I act towards them. A lot of people will think that all Muslims act the way I acted towards them. I make it a point to be kind, but I don’t feel like it’s a fake or phony form of kindness, because I genuinely like to be kind to others. It’s not fair that I have to constantly represent my religion, but I don’t mind it.”
