Humans of FSCJ – 5/25/2016

Humans of fscj“Where did you learn to ask such fabulous questions? Speech class?  Hmm. Does everyone have to have a story? I typically prefer biographies to novels. I like reality. However, I sometimes feel like Don Quixote, with experiences ranging from the sublime to the inconsequential. Helping students understand the fundamentals of speech and the world around them the way my parents helped me understand the importance of being a good person is challenging. Everyone is fighting a battle the person next to them knows nothing about, but that doesn’t impact your ability to be a good person. Your character and integrity are more easily maintained than recovered. These are the kind of implicit world views that hopefully infiltrate every aspect of our lives. Spend more time building someone up, rather than knocking them down. ”
