Hemming Park Announces Events and Programming for August 2016
2nd Annual Hemming Park Beer Festival is August 13
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., July 27, 2016 – Friends of Hemming Park is proud to host the following programs and events in Hemming Park located at 135 W. Monroe Street in the center of Downtown Jacksonville. The programs and events listed below are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted.
New this month, Yoga 4 Change will once again offer free yoga classes in Hemming Park thanks to lululemon athletica Jacksonville. Classes will be held every Sunday in August from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. All ages and skill levels are welcome.
Monday – Sunday: Hemming Park Kids Zone, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Monday – Friday: Vagabond Coffee, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Monday – Friday: Food Trucks, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Every Tuesday: Toddler Tuesday, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Every Friday: Magic Class, 4 – 5 p.m.
Every Sunday: Yoga 4 Change, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.

FIRST WEDNESDAY ART WALK
Join Downtown Vision, Inc. and Fun4FirstCoastKids for the 3rd Annual Back to School SmARTs Art Walk! Enjoy live music, dance performances, chalk art, kid’s activities, local artists, food vendors and 55+ participating venues.

All I Know, Inc. invites you to Hemming Park every first Friday to meet and mingle with local nonprofits to learn about their services and how you can get involved.
SUN, AUGUST 7 12 – 3 P.M.
ART FUSION WITH MOCA JACKSONVILLE
Kids are invited to participate in a hands-on art activity with MOCA Jacksonville in the park and then enjoy free admission to the museum by showing their artwork. Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders also get in free as part of the Museums on Us program the first weekend of each month.

POWER OF MYTH WORKSHOP #6
Jungian psychoanalysts Gretchen Deters-Murray, LMFT and Barbara Woods-Barnes, LMHC invite you to join them for a workshop around the Power of Myth video series featuring Joseph Campbell. This sixth and final workshop deals with “Masks of Eternity.”

Join Sisterly A.C.T.S Inc. for a free Back to School expo offering free supplies, drinks and snacks, live music, a job fair, early learning resources and enrollment, plus assistance for individuals in need.

2ND ANNUAL HEMMING PARK BEER FESTIVAL
You’re invited to Hemming Park’s 2nd Annual Beer Festival! General admission tickets include unlimited tastings of nearly 100 craft and import beers & ciders, access to local food trucks, live music, and more!
