At the time, I was struggling with school, jumping from major to major, unsure of what I wanted to do with my life. My dad would always tell me, "Look, all I want is for you to get a degree. Just get that piece of paper so you can land a decent job that pays for these dreams of yours." On November 18th, 2013, I received a phone call from Iraq delivering news that my father passed away. For years I was depressed. Until one day, I heard his voice in the back of my head saying, "Just get that piece of paper". So I decided to go back to school. And now here I am, currently working towards a degree in digital media at FSCJ. If I can take anything away from my dad's passing it's this: Life, unlike time, is not infinite. I will get that piece of paper. If not for me, then for him. This ones for you, Dad. #freecommunitycollegestory @headsupamerica
